Kevin Adair Bowman is a retired computer engineer who spent 17 years working in Yosemite National Park with the National Park Service. His path to technology was anything but conventional—before entering the computer field, he worked as an automotive mechanic and in the construction trades, specializing in concrete work. That hands-on background continues to influence his practical, detail-driven approach to both life and storytelling.
In 2012, Kevin and his late wife, Trudy Williams, founded KRYZ-LPFM 98.5, a community radio station in Mariposa, California, where they lived for over two decades. Their work in local broadcasting reflected a shared commitment to community, communication, and creative expression.
Now based in Sacramento, California, Kevin enjoys building and remodeling projects—from kitchens and bathrooms to anything that allows him to work with his hands and bring ideas to life. A lifelong reader, he has been drawn to science fiction, mythology, and fantasy since his teenage years—genres that now shape his own writing.
Kevin is also a longtime friend of author Phil Rickman, known for the Merrily Watkins series, and his wife Carol along with Kimberly Van Meter author of many romance and thriller books. Relationships that have further deepened his appreciation for storytelling and the craft of writing.
The Awakening of the Watcher: Genesis marks Kevin’s debut novel and the beginning of a larger series exploring ancient mythology, cosmic conflict, and humanity’s place in the universe.
